Procedure
- Blend pomegranate rind in distilled water (25% w/v) and boil for 10 min.
- Centrifuge (20,000xg, 4 °C, 30 min) (A further purification of the pomegranate extract can be achieved by membrane filtration).
- Autoclave supernatant (121 °C, 15 min) and cool.
- Store at −20 °C.
- Prior to use, mix 1.3 ml of stock solution of PRE (25% w/v) with 8.7 ml of Lambda buffer. The final PRE concentration is 13% (see Note 1.4.2).
