PhD researcher in gut viromics & bacteriophages • Science communicator • Founder, The Phage

I’m a doctoral researcher studying the human gut microbiome and its viral inhabitants, with a focus on how bacteriophages interact with host bacteria during healthy ageing. My work sits at the intersection of virome discovery, viral genome annotation/classification, and phage–host ecology—aimed at understanding how phages shape microbial communities and influence health.

Beyond research, I’m an active science communicator and the founder of The Phage, a platform dedicated to making phage science accessible through news, opportunities, and practical resources for the global microbiology community.
