Annual Oxford Bacteriophage Conference 2026 Announced

The 16th Annual Oxford Bacteriophage Conference 2026 will be held on 01–02 September 2026 as a hybrid scientific event hosted at the historic St Edmund Hall, Oxford. This event is the longest-running bacteriophage conference series in Europe and continues to serve as a leading international platform for advancing phage research and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) solutions. Researchers, clinicians, industry professionals, and early-career scientists can participate either in person in Oxford or virtually from anywhere in the world.

The Oxford Bacteriophage Conference provides a focused environment to discuss both foundational science and translational breakthroughs. The 2026 edition will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing in-person participation at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, and also virtual attendance with digital access to sessions and presentations. This flexible structure ensures broader international participation while maintaining the academic excellence associated with Oxford’s scientific community.

As antimicrobial resistance continues to threaten global health systems, phage science is moving rapidly from experimental exploration toward scalable therapeutic and industrial applications. The conference provides a strategic opportunity to engage with emerging data, innovative methodologies, and future clinical directions.
